The basic pottery course is designed for all those who want to take their first steps in the world of pottery or spend a couple of hours trying an alternative experience.
The course includes a brief theoretical introduction to the history of ceramics and the different types of clays used, followed by a first contact with clay to learn how to knead.
The course will then deal with two basic clay manipulation techniques: the hollow ball and the dove; using these two methods real objects will be created, small works of art that the student can then take home.
The duration of the course is 6 hours and includes the materials and firing of the piece produced within the cost.
This first course is open to a maximum number of 5 people on Saturday 20th May from 10:30-13 and 14:30-18.
