This method will allow you to work the clay in a precise and structured way, to create an elegant and modern vase. Through the use of geometric shapes, you will be able to experiment with design and symmetry, creating a functional and visually appealing object.
What you will create: A ceramic vase modeled with the slab technique. You will be able to choose and combine different geometric shapes (such as circles, squares, triangles and rectangles) to create a unique design, customizing your vase as you like.
Workshop Program:
Introduction to ceramics and the slab technique: You will learn how to roll out the clay to obtain uniform slabs, which you can then cut and model to create the shape of the vase.
Creating the vase: You will create the structure of the vase using the plate technique, developing three-dimensional geometric figures
Decoration and engraving: Once the base of the vase is formed, you will focus on decorations and textures, using lines and shapes to create a symmetrical and harmonious pattern.
Firing: After the workshop, your vase will be fired in the oven. Once ready, you can collect it, ready to be displayed or used.
